Ŋulpurray first wanted the homeland to be re-established in 1985 and asked our founding elders Colin Baker and Kathy Guthadjaka to lead this initiative. Families cleared the bush to make a road. This took months of camping and doing the work. In 1991, a Homeland Learning Centre in Gäwa was established. Following Gotha’s heart to establish a Christian school, a formal partnership began with NT Christian Schools in 2004 when the school was registered as an independent Christian school.
