In Gäwa, everyone is family. In school, we learn Yolŋu knowledge and non-indigenous knowledge as we seek the Lord’s law. Our Old Man, Warramiri custodian Daymaŋu Bukulatjpi, leads our school and community in God’s good ways. God embraces this homeland and it is a place of peace, of law, of family, of knowledge, of giving and receiving help, and of discipline. We are also trying to be a place of health, without sickness.
